Challenge

To leverage the growth in wine consumption in Brazil by increasing sales and exports of Portuguese wines. Aim: to be the first among imported wines preferred by Brazil.

Solution

Creation, development and implementation of the Festival de Vinhos de Portugal, a concerted promotional event that took place throughout Brazil. 360 wines from 134 producers represented nine Portuguese wine regions in more than 2,200 stores.

Results

Sales associated with the event exceeded all expectations.

Imports of Portuguese wines grew 24% in volume and 20% in value compared to October 2019. During the year, they grew 26% in volume and 27% in value.

In the period before the Festival, another 2.5 million bottles were imported compared to the same period in 2019.
